These special ornamental coins were issued from Ahmedabad for nine months during Akbar’s 47th Regnal Year. The reason is unclear, however, these coins remain some of the most beautiful general circulation coins in the Mughal series. Legend within four-pointed star on obverse and eight-pointed star on reverse.
