Ahmad Shah Bahadur, AV Mohur, Derajat, AH 1162, RY Ahd
One of the rarest mints for the later Mughals, Derajat struck coins in the names of Muhammad Shah and Ahmad Shah Bahadur. They were most likely issued under the command of Shah Nawaz Khan, one of the sons of Zakariya Khan, the Nawab of Punjab, who died in 1745. The term 'Derajat' is a collective provincial noun, applied to tracts comprising Dera Ghazi Khan, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu and Muzaffargarh districts beyond the Ravi river.
