Aurangzeb, AR Rupee, Adoni, AH 1098/30
The date suggest that this coin was struck in the period from 7th November 1686 to 1 July 1687. The fortress of Adoni at this time was still being held by Sidi Mas'ud, a powerful Habshi Sardar of the Adil Shahi Sultanate of Bijapur and a regent to Sultan Sikandar. Sidi Mas'ud finally surrendered to the Mughals in August 1688, and accepted service under Aurangzeb. At this time, Adoni was renamed 'Imtiazgarh'.
