Obv: Persian legend: ‘(Shah Noor-ud) din (Jahangir) ibn (Akbar Badshah), Rev: Month Tir, RY 6, Zarb Burhanpur. It is known from the memoirs of Akbar’s court biographer Abul Fazal that the denomination of 1/10th is known as ‘Dassa’ and 1/20th is known as ‘Suki’. Such coinage in low denominations was struck during Jahangir’s reign for scattering and largesse purposes.
