Obv: (Noor ud din) Jahangir Shah (Akbar Shah), Rev: zarb Burhanpur. It is known from the memoirs of Akbar’s court biographer Abul Fazal that the denomination of 1/10th is known as ‘Dassa’ and 1/20th is known as ‘Suki’. Such coinage in low denominations was struck during Jahangir’s reign for scattering and largesse purposes.
