Jahangir, AR 1/16 Rupee, Jahangirnagar, AH 1037, RY 22, 'Nur Afshan' type

Note by Shailen Bhandare: Although it appears to be of 'Jahangirnagar' mint, the mint-indicative word 'Zarb' is absent from the coin's legend. It could well be that the word on the reverse, above 'Julus' is 'Jahangiri'. That would make this a 'Noor Afshan' of mint-less type!

Noor Afshan means ‘light scattering’ and was a type of largesse coinage struck by Jahangir for charitable purposes
